Thanks to the T-Mobile Hometown Grant along with Page County resident & visitor donations as-well-as the Town of Luray, the Ruffner Plaza renovation began 4/8/24. Renovations became necessary due to safety issues. Construction will conclude early June at the latest and we will celebrate with The Summer Concert Series.
The Ruffner Plaza concrete area is being replaced due to safety issues. The grass will remain, and the benches will return after construction. The grass and concrete drainage are being improved for safety and longevity.
Unfortunately, weather has deteriorated the pergola beyond further repair, and it has been removed. We are grateful to the Clark and Griffith Families, Timothy W. Brown, and The Cappuccino Club for their generous donations to the pergola in 2004. The pergola served our community for 20-years.
The pergola is being replaced with a sail shade similar to this and will provide more shade.
